![]() ![]() that as long as my email was set up using the Google Set-up feature in Mail - an appropriate server will be chosen and there is no security issue. In both instances above, I would have expected the username and password to be the same as the incoming email address itself and I would have expected them all to use BUT I've been told that it doesn't matter what the server name is and/or what email address/password the outgoing server is using. When I select Outgoing Mail Account one of the gmail email addresses (which is set to " a Nickname of the email account") and select "Edit SMTP Server List" the user name is also ANOTHER one of my email addresses (and not the same one as above). There is also no problem getting and receiving emails on this one either. ![]() I would have expected the username and password to be the same as the incoming email address. However I have an issue I don't understand: ![]() And everything is working - there is no problem getting and receiving emails on either computer. I have several gmail accounts using Apple Mail on two computers, both running the same OS (10.13.6). ![]()
